NURS 33103 - Introduction to Baccalaureate Nursing (Role Course) 3 Credit(s) : 3 Lecture Hour(s) Prerequisite(s): Full acceptance into the Prelicensure BSN This course examines the role of professional nursing in contemporary nursing practice. Students are introduced to concepts of the professional nursing role such as: roles and responsibilities of the nurse, provider of client-centered care, advocate for patient safety, collaboration and teamwork, communication, legal and ethical aspects of nursing practice, professionalism, influence of values and culture in client-centered care, evidence-based practice, and the nursing process.
