NURS 42114 - Maternal and Women’s Health and Clinical Practicum 4 Credit(s) : 2 Lecture Hour(s) , Other Hours: 2 hours clinical Prerequisite(s): Full acceptance into the Prelicensure BSN or LPN-BSN program This course introduces the role and scope of practice of the registered nurse in the care of childbearing families. Clinical experiences facilitate the use of clinical judgment and the nursing process in the provisions of client-centered, safe, competent nursing care for the childbearing family during the preconception, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn periods.
