GNEG 20303 - Engineering Statics 3 Credit(s) : 3 Lecture Hour(s) Prerequisite(s): MATH 25005 , PHYS 20143 or PHYS 20443 Engineering Statics applies fundamental concepts of Newtonian Mechanics to study rigid material bodies at rest or static equilibrium. Topics will include the mechanics of solid materials, fluid mechanics, structural analysis, machine design, and internal distortions of deformable solid bodies, including the stresses and strains imposed by applied forces.
