ALHE 10602 - Tech Phlebotomy Practicum
2 Credit(s) : 6 Laboratory Hour(s)
Prerequisite(s): ALHE 10534
Provides application and skill development in a variety of blood collection methods using proper techniques and universal precautions. Emphasis on infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance of specimen collection will be outlined. Students who can provide proof of successful collection of a specified number of venipuncture specimens may be qualified to sit for a national phlebotomy examination.
Note: This course may be transferable toward a limited number of associate and baccalaureate degrees. Contact advisor for information regarding transferability.
