Prerequisite(s): Full acceptance into the Prelicensure BSN, LPN-BSN and RN to BSN Advanced Placement Track
This course introduces students to essential concepts, principles, and techniques utilized in research and evidence-based practice. Students are introduced to the research process through an exploration of common research designs, sampling techniques, and data analysis. Ethical conduct of research, problem-solving, and methods for critically appraising evidence for suitability in practice will be addressed. Students will be provided with opportunities to evaluate select research studies as a foundation for evidence-based practice.
