The following outline is for the MSN full-time option track. These students have already earned their BSN degree.  Courses in each phase must be completed before moving to next phase.  Some courses may be taken with prior phase courses if finishing up that phase. All courses will be offered via distance learning.

Phase 1 - Graduate Nursing Core: 12 hours

• NURS 5013 - Theoretical & Ethical Foundations of Advanced Nursing Practice Summer (June-July)
• NURS 5023 - Epidemiology Fall
• NURS 5033 - Research & Evidenced Based Practice in Public Health Fall
• NURS 5043 - Statistical Reasoning in Public Health Spring

Phase 2 - Clinical Foundation Core: 11 hours

• NURS 5053 - Advanced Pathophysiology Spring
• Nurs 5063 - Advanced Pharmacology Spring
• NURS 5073 - Advanced Health Assessment Spring
• NURS 5102 - Social Determinants of Health Summer (June-July)

Phase 3 - Public Health Core: 14 hours

• NURS 5204 - Public Health Policy and Economics Fall
• NURS 5214 - Public Healthcare & Education Fall
• NURS 5006 - Public Health Leadership, Management, and Evaluation Spring
