NURS 35002 - Nursing Care of the Aging Population

Prerequisite(s): Full acceptance into the Prelicensure BSN
This course explores basic gerontologic concepts related to the care of the aging client. Contemporary theories of aging, physiological and psychological functioning, developmental changes, and the impact of illness and dysfunction will be explored. Health promotion through patient-centered, evidence-based care will be emphasized.
