Prerequisite(s): Must be accepted to the Practical Nursing program. Must have successfully completed each preceding course with a “C” or better and progress with the cohort you enrolled in.
Properties, dosage, actions, interactions of drugs. System of weights and measures for drug administration. Formulas for dosage calculations. Medical symbols/abbreviations. Safety factors including simulated lab and to learn the limitations regarding dispensing medications.
Note: This course may be transferable toward a limited number of associate and baccalaureate degrees. Contact advisor for information regarding transferability.
