ELTE 21505 - Programmable Logic Controls

Prerequisite(s): ELTE 10504  
Study of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) including ladder logic and interfacing of sensors actuation devices, and drives. Covers analyzing specified machine processes and determining PLC input and output requirements needed for proper process control, connecting appropriate sensors and drive mechanisms to interface PLC control with a machine process, creating and preparing a program for a given machine process that incorporates both automotive and single-step modes of operation, and entering a PLC program and demonstrating the proper operation of the process.
