AMST 20353 - Industrial Automation for Manufacturing 4 Credit(s) : 23 Lecture Hour(s) , 3 Laboratory Hour(s) Prerequisite(s): CPSI 11083 or higher level computer course; AMST 10253 ; MATH 22163 Introduction to the basic operation of industrial automation and robotics including principles and practice of programming industrial manipulators and computer numeric control machines to include safety, power-up, shutdown, manual operation, homing, movement, and effector operation. Topics covered include system hardware components, coordinate systems, positional representation and control, pendant programming, and I/O interfacing.
