AMST 10453 - Industrial Plant Processes 3 Credit(s) : 3 Lecture Hour(s) This course provides an overview of processes necessary to operate modern industrial plants of various types. Areas covered are basic concepts of five branches of chemistry: organic, inorganic, analytical, biochemistry, and physical chemistry that explain the properties of matter, chemical bonding, reactions, and chemical formulas and equations. Various properties, laws, and processes of physics including machines, friction, forces, work, power, energy, heat, gravity, sound, light, electricity, and efficiency as they apply to modern mills and plants will be studied.
