Corequisite(s): MUED 51503
Two-week summer session covering performance training, jazz education, reinforcement of jazz improvisation and theory, private lessons and music employment seminar sessions presented by UAM staff, mentors and world-class jazz musicians. This course, taken in conjunction with MUED 51503 - Topics in Rehearsing Music Ensembles , includes practical “on the job” experience through participation in small combos that focus on the preparation and memorization of standard tunes, jazz classics, and contemporary music.
