NURS 3333 - Health Assessment

Prerequisite(s): Full acceptance into the Prelicensure BSN, LPN-BSN, AASN or RN to BSN Advanced Placement Track
This is course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform a comprehensive health assessment for individuals of all ages. Students will practice health assessment in a laboratory setting. The course emphasizes history/data collection and critical analysis in states of health and alterations in health. Students will learn clinical assessment skills, analysis, and decision-making for nursing practice. Students will also explore self-care behaviors, the process of growth and development across the lifespan and the influence of cultural differences on individuals and families. Offered Summer I
